It’s a perfect game of sorts, one that seemingly is as rare as the traditional version from baseball. For the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, their entire roster has a clean bill of health heading into a game.
Receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster returned to practice Friday after being the lone member of the roster to sit out a day prior. Everyone was a full participant Friday, and per the Steelers’ official league-mandated injury report, no one will miss Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Smith-Schuster has a knee injury that caused him to miss three out of five practices between Sept. 16-24, but amidst that, he played in this past Sunday’s win against the Denver Broncos.
Guard David DeCastro missed that game and the season opener the week before, but he has practiced all this week and will make his 2020 debut Sunday.
Receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) and defensive lineman Tyson Alualu (knee) sat out Wednesday’s practice but have been full participants the remainder of the week and will play against the Texans.
Although coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday mentioned outside linebacker Bud Dupree as having a shoulder injury, Dupree did not miss any practice time this week. A late addition to the injury report Thursday, reserve interior lineman J.C. Hassenauer (ankle) practiced Friday and is cleared for Sunday’s game.
The only others players to miss any practices this week were quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, center Maurkice Pouncey and defensive linemen Cameron Heyward and Stephon Tuitt. Each of those four was given a day of rest by Tomlin.
