Alle-Kiski Valley campus clippings: Houston swimmer Kondis cleans up at conference meet
Peyton Kondis felt right at home over the weekend as the University of Houston hosted the American Athletic Conference men’s and women’s swimming championships.
The Plum resident and Oakland Catholic graduate won two individual titles and was a part of two relay triumphs.
She captured both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, winning with times of 59.34 seconds and 2:09.93, and added wins as part of the 200 medley relay (1:37.60) and 400 medley relay (3:34.13).

Expected to earn a third straight trip to the NCAA championships, Kondis added a runner-up finish in the 200 individual medley (1:57.85) as she was selected AAC co-swimmer of the year.
Kondis finishes her AAC career with four individual conference titles. She also won the 100 breast in her freshman and sophomore seasons.
