Antonio Brown accuser seeking to subpoena Bucs for employment records
TAMPA, Fla. — Attorneys for the woman who has accused Bucs receiver Antonio Brown of sexual battery are seeking to subpoena the team for documents related to his employment, according to Broward County court records.
Britney Taylor’s legal advisers want to subpoena the Bucs and Brown’s previous teams (the Steelers, Patriots and Raiders) for copies of all “correspondence, memoranda, communications, agreements, messages or other written documentation” involving their business relationships with the talented but troubled receiver. Taylor’s attorneys are also seeking information about NFL investigations into Brown.
The case stems from accusations that Brown raped and sexually assaulted her in 2017 and ’18. Brown has said in court filings the sexual encounters were consensual.
The latest legal update — filed Wednesday — comes as the Bucs prepare to play the Chiefs on Sunday in Super Bowl 55. Brown has 48 catches for 542 yards and five touchdowns since signing with Tampa Bay in October. He has been limited in practice this week with a knee injury.
Taylor’s attorneys did not immediately return a request for comment.
