Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown plays against the Los Angeles Chargers in Pittsburgh. He appeared to make his decision official in a social media post released on Instagram on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019.

Antonio Brown can begin the new chapter of his career with the Raiders with one less problem hanging over him.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has settled a lawsuit brought by a man who claimed his child was nearly hit by furniture that Brown allegedly threw off a balcony.

Brown had sought to have the lawsuit dismissed.

“The parties have reached an agreement, and everybody is pleased,” said Alan Kluger, the attorney representing Ophir Sternberg, who sued Brown.

Details of the settlement are confidential.

The incident happened a year ago when Brown was still a member of the Steelers. Sternberg claimed he and his 22-month-old son were near the pool of a high-end Florida apartment complex when, according to the lawsuit, they were nearly hit by falling pieces of furniture including an ottoman and some larges vases.

Police responded and said Brown was “very agitated” and yelling when they got there.
