Running back Najee Harris did not practice for the second day in a row because of an abdominal injury, and the player who replaced him as the main running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night was limited with a knee injury.

Benny Snell, who rushed for a team-high 62 yards on 12 carries in the Steelers’ 24-17 victory against the Indianapolis Colts, practiced on a limited basis Thursday. He was one of several new additions to the injury report.

Practicing fully for a second day in a row was rookie running back Jaylen Warren, who was the team’s third down back and second-most used runner until he missed the game at Indianapolis because of a hamstring strain.

Inside linebacker Myles Jack did not practice Thursday because of a knee injury, and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi also was not on the field with a toe injury. As has become a weekly custom, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward was given a veteran day off in the middle day of the team’s three-day practice window.

Returning to practice fully was free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who sat Wednesday with a rib injury. Wide receiver/special teams player Miles Boykin (oblique) practiced for the second day in a row.

Among the players that were limited in practice: inside linebacker Robert Spillane (oblique), center Mason Cole (foot) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs).

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon also missed practice for the second day this week with a lingering hamstring injury that has kept him out of three consecutive games.
