Two Buffalo Bills starters were declared out and two others deemed questionable to play in Sunday’s wild-card round playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) and safety Taylor Rapp (calf) will not play Sunday, Buffalo coach Sean McDermott told reporters Friday. He also said that cornerback Rasul Douglas (knee) and LB Tyrel Dodson (shoulder) would be listed as questionable. The release of the official injury report later in the day confirmed McDermott’s stated status updates.

Douglas, though, did not practice, meaning he did not take the practice field all week after suffering his injury during last week’s regular-season finale in Miami. That would tend to indicate he is less likely to play against the Steelers.

Dodson was to be a limited participant for the second time this week.

Davis has four touchdowns in three career games against the Steelers, including scores covering 98 and 62 yards Oct. 9, 2022, during the most recent meeting between the teams. During the 2023 regular season, Davis was second on the Bills in catches (45) and receiving touchdowns (seven).

Barring a postponement because of the abundance of snow forecast to fall in western New York this weekend, the Bills host the Steelers in a 1 p.m. kickoff at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.
