Last summer, the Pittsburgh Steelers opened the preseason with two road games, then concluded the schedule with back-to-back games at Heinz Field.

The opposite will be true in 2019.

The NFL released the preseason schedule Tuesday, and the Steelers will open with home games against the Tampa Buccaneers on Friday, Aug. 9 and the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The final two preseason games will be at the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Aug. 25 and at the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, Aug. 29. The game against the Titans will start at 8 p.m. and be televised nationally by NBC.

It is the 17th consecutive year that the Steelers will close the preseason schedule with a game against the Panthers. The Steelers also played the Titans in the 2018 preseason.

With the exception of the Tennessee game, the preseason games will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised by KDKA.
