What’s expected to be a busy recruiting weekend for Pitt continued Saturday, as five Class of 2027 prospects announced commitments to the Panthers.

Cornerback Omarion Wallace (Covington, Ga.), tight end DeShaun Thomas (Merritt Island, Fla.), receivers Ajavion Willis (Miami, Fla.) and Alex Fontenot (Alexandria, La.) and edge rusher Dominic Letlow (Youngstown, Ohio), brought the Panthers’ 2027 class up to 15 verbal commitments.

Per 247Sports, Pitt’s class now ranks 23rd in the nation. All five of Pitt’s newest commits are ranked as three-star prospects.

Thomas, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect, attends the same high school (Merritt Island) as Panthers quarterback recruit Kevin Verpaele. He chose Pitt over Florida State, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Louisville and West Virginia, among others.

Letlow is 6-3, 230 pounds and attends Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown.

Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 41 overall prospect in Ohio for his class, Letlow hauled in additional offers from Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, West Virginia and others.

He is the first listed edge in Pitt’s 2027 class.

Like Thomas, he announced his commitment on Instagram.

Fontenot, a 6-1, 190-pounder, becomes Pitt’s first 2027 pledge from Louisiana.

He had a lighter recruitment to date, but gathered Power 4 offers from West Virginia and Maryland before he chose the Panthers.

247Sports lists him as the No. 37 overall recruit in Louisiana within his class.

Willis plays both safety and receiver at Miami Columbus High School, and the Panthers have recruited him to play offense.

A 6-2, 175-pound recruit, Willis was also courted by Missouri, Auburn, Florida State, LSU and Minnesota among others.
