Valley grad Tyson Hill was a first-team All-PSAC West receiver for Cal (Pa.) in 2019.

Cal U rose a spot to No. 3 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25 poll, equaling the Vulcans’ highest ranking in the poll.

The Vulcans (8-0, 5-0 PSAC), who are coming off a 42-14 win over Seton Hill, are one of four undefeated teams in Division II joining Ferris State, Valdosta State and Bentley, all 8-0.

They also join other NCAA Super Region One teams Notre Dame, Ohio (8), Bentley (9), Shepherd (11), Slippery Rock (15), Kutztown (19), Frostburg State (20), and New Haven (24) in the top 25.

The top spot still belongs to Ferris State (Mich.), which has been No. 1 for three weeks.

The last time Cal reached No. 3 was in 2010.

The Vulcans will play at Slippery Rock on Saturday.
