Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Calvin Austin III is out, and starting guard Isaac Seumalo is questionable to play in Sunday’s game at the Cleveland Browns.

Austin did not practice all week after suffering a hamstring injury during this past Sunday’s win at the Detroit Lions. Seumalo did not play in that game because of a triceps injury suffered the week prior.

On the injury report, Seumalo was listed as a partial participant for all three of the week’s practices. Spencer Anderson is the top backup at guard, though when Seumalo has missed time this season Anderson has shared his role with veteran Andrus Peat because Anderson is so adept at the heavily utilized “jumbo” package in which he serves as a tight end.

The Steelers added veteran receivers Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their gameday lineups the past three weeks — all victories. Thielen in particular has usurped Austin’s role as the WR2 — but the situation is exacerbated this week because of the two-game NFL’s suspension of WR1 DK Metcalf.

Against the Browns, Roman Wilson is in line to be in uniform for the first time in three weeks. Veterans Scotty Miller and Pro Bowl special-teamer Ben Skowronek are the only other wide receivers on the Steelers’ active roster.

The Steelers added veteran Brandon Johnson to their practice squad Wednesday. Johnson appeared in three games for the Steelers last season but was cut at the end of this year’s training camp.

Warren, Kuntz cleared

Running back Jaylen Warren (hip) and long snapper Christian Kuntz (knee) are among those who were on Friday officially deemed healthy enough to play against the Browns. Warren was limited in practice Wednesday but since had been good to go.

Skowronek (hand) and quarterback Aaron Rodgers (wrist) remain listed on the injury report but have not missed practice and have been playing through their respective injuries in games in recent weeks.

No Watt, Echols or Pierre

Although he returned to practice this week, star outside linebacker T.J. Watt will miss a third consecutive game as he recovers from a partially collapsed lung.

Cornerbacks Brandin Echols (groin) and James Pierre (calf) are also out, and defensive back Jalen Ramsey (illness) is listed questionable.
