Two-thirds of the way through the Pittsburgh Steelers practice week, injury has prevented both their reigning Pro Bowl offensive skill players to yet take part.
Like each was on Wednesday, receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back James Conner were listed on the team’s official injury report as not practicing. Smith-Schuster has a toe injury and Conner left this past Monday’s win against Cincinnati because of an ankle injury.
Also continuing to miss practice because of injuries are tight end Vance McDonald (back) and special teamers Roosevelt Nix (knee) and Anthony Chickillo (foot). Each has missed at least one prior game.
The only player dealing with an injury who was upgraded to practice participation after missing Wednesday’s session was defensive end Cameron Heyward. Heyward played through a quadriceps injury suffered early during Monday’s game.
