Cameron Sutton, Devin Bush full practice participants for Steelers
Cornerback Cameron Sutton and inside linebacker Devin Bush were full practice participants Wednesday, providing optimism each will be able to play this week for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Sutton and Bush have groin injuries. Sutton did not play in this past Sunday’s win against the Denver Broncos, and Bush did not finish the game. Receiver James Washington, who also did not play last week because of a groin injury, was listed as a limited participant on the league-mandated practice report.
Also limited were receiver Chase Claypool (hamstring), defensive lineman Cameron Heyward (neck) and reserve defensive lineman Carlos Davis (knee). For Claypool and Heyward, the limited status is more a reflection of maintenance. Davis has missed the past four games.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took his customary Wednesday off, although he is dealing with neck and pectoral injuries. Veterans Trai Turner, a guard, and outside linebacker Melvin Ingram were given a day of rest.
Note: The Steelers signed cornerback Linden Stephens to the practice squad. Stephens has 16 games of NFL regular-season experience but is joining his eighth organization since being an undrafted free agent in 2018.
