Championship-round tickets sold out for U.S. Open at Oakmont; limited practice-round spots remain
Tens of thousands of golf fans have secured their tickets for the 125th U.S. Open being held next week at Oakmont Country Club.
The USGA announced Friday that the championship rounds, scheduled for Thursday through June 15, are sold out.
Around 30,000 spectators are expected at the course each day of the championship rounds.
“The tremendous response from golf fans in Pittsburgh, across the country and around the world demonstrates the excitement about the U.S. Open coming back to Oakmont,” said Jon Podany, USGA chief commercial officer. “We appreciate the loyalty of U.S. Open spectators and are confident that this year’s championship, being played at one of our three anchor sites, will provide a very memorable experience for all attendees.”
A limited amount of tickets remains for the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds in the gallery and trophy club. Wednesday tickets remain in the Champions Pavilion near the third fairway and 1895 Club between the 14th and 15th holes.
Children 12 and younger can request a complimentary gallery ticket at the ticket office and admission gates any day when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
Teens ages 13 to 17 can request a complimentary gallery ticket for practice rounds, and can purchase a discount junior gallery ticket ($50) for championship rounds, with a ticketed adult. There is a maximum of four juniors per ticketed adult.
