Indianapolis Colts’ T.Y. Hilton runs during the second half of a game two weeks ago against the Houston Texans. Hilton will not play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers after suffering a calf injury at practice Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will catch the break of not having to deal with the Indianapolis Colts’ No. 1 wide receiver when the teams meet Sunday at Heinz Field.

Veteran T.Y. Hilton will not play after suffering a calf injury during practice Wednesday. Colts coach Frank Reich said Friday that Hilton will miss three to four weeks.

Hilton leads Indianapolis in catches (32), receiving yards (360) and touchdowns (five). He has 539 receptions for 8,457 yards and 45 touchdowns in his eight-year career, all with the Colts.

The Colts lack quality experience behind Hilton on their wide receivers depth chart. Zach Pascal is second among their wide receivers in catches with 14. Chester Rogers (nine catches), Parris Campbell (10), Deon Cain (four) and Ashton Dulin (zero) are other wide receivers on their active roster.

Over their past four games, the Steelers have allowed an average of just 181.8 passing yards per game. That figure would rank third in the NFL for pass defense over the full season.
