Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin continues to receive treatment at University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Tuesday, and his family members expressed their thanks for support from around the NFL and beyond.

“We also want to acknowledge the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who have provided exceptional care to Damar. The statement, released by friend and marketing rep Jordon Rooney, also said the family would provide updates on Hamlin’s condition when they have them.
Hamlin, a former player at Central Catholic and Pitt, collapsed on the field during the first quarter of Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals and was given medical treatment for nearly 20 minutes before being taken to a hospital.
The Bills said his heart stopped following a tackle during the game, which was postponed.
Damar Hamlin spent last night in the intensive care unit and remains there today in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

On ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Rooney declined to give details on Hamlin’s condition other than to say he is sedated.
“All I can say is he’s fighting; he’s a fighter,” Rooney said.
