Myles Garrett had his hands on a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback’s helmet again Sunday afternoon.
This time, he politely gave it back rather than take a swing with it.
In a moment that conjured visions of Garrett’s infamous helmet swing that conked Mason Rudolph in 2019, the Cleveland Browns defensive lineman had a helmet roll at his feet in the third quarter of the Browns’ 13-10 victory against the Steelers.
And the helmet indeed belonged to a quarterback — Kenny Pickett. It became dislodged amid a scrum when Pickett tried a sneak on fourth-and-1 from the Steelers 29.

As Garrett reached down to pick up Pickett’s helmet, he was approached by Steelers rookie tackle Broderick Jones, who grabbed it back. Garrett put both hands in the air to show he meant no harm, then playfully patted Jones on the back of the head.
One could only imagine what Rudolph was thinking watching from the Steelers sideline as the emergency quarterback.
Garrett, a candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, sacked Pickett twice in the game and had another quarterback hit. He leads the NFL with 13 sacks.
