Derick Brassard becomes 11th player to score with 9 different NHL teams

Derick Brassard joined the club of well-travelled goal scorers in the NHL on Monday night.

Eleven players in the NHL have scored with nine different teams, according to the NHL, including four players who notched at least one goal with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Brassard, now a center with the Philadelphia Flyers, tallied Monday night against the Seattle Kraken. Acquired from the Ottawa Senators on Feb. 23, 2018, Brassard spent parts of two seasons with the Penguins, scoring nine goals in 54 games. The Penguins traded Brassard to the Florida Panthers on Feb. 1, 2019. In his career, Brassard has also scored for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders and Arizona Coyotes.

Right wing Jaromir Jagr scored more than half of his 766 goals with the Penguins, scoring 439 from 1990 to 2001. Jagr was traded to the Washington Capitals before playing for the Rangers, Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames.

Center Dominic Moore played for most of the 2006-07 season with the Penguins, scoring six goals in 59 games. The other teams he scored for are the Rangers, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Bruins.

Forward Lee Stempniak came to the Penguins at the 2014 trade deadline, netting four goals in 21 games. Stempniak had recorded goals with 10 teams: the St. Louis Blues, Maple Leafs, Phoenix Coyotes, Flames, Penguins, Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, Devils, Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes.

Center Mike Sillinger has everybody beat, scoring for 12 different franchises.

The other members of the club are defenseman Mathieu Schneider (10), defenseman Grant Ledyard (nine), defenseman Michel Petit (nine), center Jim Dowd (nine), left wing Dean McAmmond (nine) and center Olli Jokinen (nine).
