Carney was a four-year starter at Butler, averaging 13, 21, 29.6 and 26 points per game. He scored 2,082 career points to become one of only nine WPIAL 6A players to reach that level. He joined Butler’s Ethan Morton and Mars’ Robby Carmody as the only Butler County boys players to score 2,000 poins.

Carney, a 6-foot-1 guard, was redshirted and did not appear in any games for the Dukes this season.
