While renovation work continues on Duquesne’s UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, the men’s basketball team will play 12 nonconference games off-campus, including four at La Roche University and one at PPG Paints Arena.
The Dukes, who are 16-4 in nonconference home games under third-year coach Keith Dambrot, will open the season Nov. 5 against Princeton at PPG Paints Arena. It will be part of a doubleheader with the Duquesne women, who will play Kent State in the second game.
La Roche will be the site of games against Lamar on Nov. 12, Lipscomb, the 2019 NIT runner-up, on Nov. 15, VMI on Dec. 4 and Columbia on Dec. 9.
Duquesne will participate in the Junkanoo Jam in Bimini, Bahamas, meeting Indiana State on Nov. 21 and Air Force the next night on the 22nd before facing Loyola Marymount on Nov. 24.
Also, they will visit Akron for a neutral-site game against Radford for the second consecutive season. The game will be played at Firestone High School.
On Dec. 21 and 22, they will play UAB and Austin Peay in St. Petersburg, Fla., at the St. Pete Shootout.
Duquesne completes its nonconference schedule at the Cleveland Classic against CIT champion Marshall on Dec. 29 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Duquesne/Marshall game will be preceded by a game between Ohio State at West Virginia at noon.
