Duquesne coach Dru Joyce III has received his first official commitments for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season.

Dimitrios Ntapsis, a 6-foot-11, 268-pound center, and Jackson Williams, a 6-4, 180-pound guard, on Wednesday signed to play for the Dukes.

Both players made verbal commitments to Duquesne in September.

Ntapsis, a native of Athens, Greece, is in his first year at Ontario (Calif.) Vertas Academy after playing for Panionios Athens U18 Team during the 2024-25 season.

His best showing came against AEK in the Greece U18 League, where he posted a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds while blocking a pair of shots. He also averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in seven games for Greece at the European U18 Championships.

He chose Duquesne over Boise State, California, Iowa State and Tulane.

Williams led Geneva (Ohio) Spire Academy to a 33-3 record and an Ohio Prep Conference championship last season. He also was drawing interest from Boston University, Florida Atlantic, Liberty, Miami (Ohio) and UC San Diego.

A career 1,000-point scorer, Williams previously attended Marietta (Ga.) Walker, where as a sophomore, he posted 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in a game against Atlanta’s The Weber School.
