PHILADELPHIA — Lincoln Financial Field is known for being an intense environment to play in. But at the Eagles-Packers contest on Sunday, a man was caught on camera taking that too far.

Packers fan Alex Basara of Chester County posted a video of an Eagles fan using language that is not fit to print berating his fiancée in the upper deck of the stadium. The interaction quickly went viral as fans on social media tried to identify the Eagles fan and apologize on behalf of Philadelphia.

The Eagles identified and banned the fan from attending future games at the Linc, according to a report from Derrick Gunn. Basara did not respond to a request for comment as of Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles fan’s employer released a statement after the reports that did not specifically identify the fan in the video.

“The management at BCT Partners has been made aware of a video circulating involving an employee making offensive remarks outside of the workplace,” the company said. “BCT Partners denounces this type of behavior, and we take this matter extremely seriously. As an organization that has always stood for inclusivity, the conduct displayed was completely unacceptable and stands in direct opposition to our company values.

“We have already begun a full investigation as an internal personnel matter to determine what actions will be taken. We sincerely apologize to everyone affected by this behavior and remain committed to fostering a culture of respect for all.”
