Penn State football coach James Franklin received another Class of 2021 commitment Wednesday when Nick Elksnis from Jacksonville, Fla. made his announcement.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end rated as a three-star recruit according to 247sports. He is the second commitment of Penn State’s 2021 class, joining Dont’e Thornton Jr., a wide receiver from Baltimore.
Elksnis had 20 offers from around the country. Since the start of the new year, the tight end has made visits to Florida, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Wake Forest. This past weekend, he visited the Nittany Lions before making his decision.
The most recent Penn State commit plays for former NFL quarterback Mark Brunell at Episcopal High School in Jacksonville. The Eagles play in Class 3A, where schools normally have a student populations of from 377 to 749 students. They went 7-3 last year.
