Former Pittsburgh Penguins assistant coach Pierre McGuire will be joining the team’s radio broadcasts in a limited capacity next season.

Per a social media posting from the team’s radio network, McGuire will participate in pre- and post-game broadcasts for 41 games as well as a handful of shows on Saturday mornings.

McGuire was an assistant coach and scout for the Penguins in the early 1990s. He was a member of the franchise’s first two Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992.
