In a battle of former NFL running backs, Le’Veon Bell dropped Adrian Peterson with a right for a TKO victory in the fifth round Saturday night at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

A four-time All-Pro running back, Peterson took on the two-time All-Pro back Bell, a former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, on Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

According to Yahoo! Sports, “Each boxer landed only a handful of blows — and few, if any, significant strikes — as the announcers glumly attempted to justify what viewers had paid for.”

The Sporting News described the fight as “a bit of a snoozefest until Bell landed the final punch in the final round. The first four rounds featured practically no punches of value, just very minor jabs from both boxers.”

Bell left the Steelers after he sat out the 2018 season rather than sign a $14.5 million tender and subsequently signed with the Jets. His NFL career was never quite the same, and he is out of the league.
