Falcons’ Calvin Ridley will miss game against Jets in London for 'personal matter'
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Calvin Ridley, the Falcons’ leading receiver, was not at practice Thursday and will not travel with the team to London for the game Sunday against the New York Jets. The Falcons described Ridley’s situation as a “personal matter.”
Also, wide receiver Russell Gage and defensive tackle Marlon Davidson won’t make the trip because of their ankle injuries, the team announced.
The team is set to leave for London later Thursday.
“Due to a personal matter, Calvin Ridley will not travel to the Falcons game in London this weekend,” the Falcons said in a statement released Thursday afternoon. “We are in support of Calvin during this time and will respect his privacy on the matter.”
