Fans troll Steelers over tweet about arriving at Pro Bowl

Well, they made it … to the Pro Bowl.

The Pittsburgh Steelers tweeted on Tuesday “We have arrived. #ProBowl #HereWeGo” with a video showing the flight path from Pittsburgh to Orlando, Fla. ending with an image of the six Steelers at the Pro Bowl.

Six Steelers will represent the team: running back James Conner, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (replacing Antonio Brown), defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, offensive linemen Maurkice Pouncey, and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (injury replacement Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney).

Of course, making the Pro Bowl is an honor, but for a team that started the season with aspirations to reach the Super Bowl, but failed to make the playoffs, the tweet came across as a little tone deaf.

Fans, including many New England Patriots fans, couldn’t resist taking shots at the team. The post got nearly 300 comments.
