Major League Baseball’s commissioner has spoken, and it looks like Rob Manfred is waving the white flag on a full 162-game season because of the coronavirus delay.

Not only is that a big deal for fans of the game but also for those who play fantasy baseball. In our weekly fantasy sports podcast, Jeff Erickson of RotoWire discusses how the fantasy baseball world is adjusting in terms of drafts and talent evaluation.

One thing is for certain. Regardless of when MLB gets going, three big-name pitchers will be absent from fantasy rosters. Add Noah Syndergaard to a list of guys that already includes Chris Sale (Boston Red Sox) and Luis Severino (New York Yankees) as those getting Tommy John surgery. We talk about how fantasy owners — and the Mets — will react.

Jeff has some drafts that have already taken place and others that are waiting. He talks about his FOMO (fear of missing out) list. And gives us at least one guy we should all try to get on our teams.

Then we get into the NFL offseason. In particular, we debate the merits of keeping the NFL Draft in place, restructuring it, or delaying it. I’m in favor of keeping it in place as is. We’ll see what Jeff says.

We also compare the signing of Eric Ebron in Pittsburgh to Tyler Eifert in Jacksonville. We examine the plans of teams currently left off the quarterback carousel. And we kick the tires of running back movement, particularly Todd Gurley going to the Falcons.
