First Call: Antonio Brown's movie 'teaser'; Jarvis Landry walks back Patriots prediction
In Friday’s “First Call,” Antonio Brown’s movie “teaser” is a hit. Jarvis Landry may regret a comment he made about the New England Patriots. And an update on the “Trump Ump.”
'May the 84th be with you'
Pfft! And you thought the new “Star Wars” movie trailer release was huge?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you “Antonio Brown 11 Days w/ New England Patriots.”
Wait. That’s just the teaser? You mean there’s more?
That lasted longer than his entire stay in Foxborough.
I have two questions.
First, who in the world wrote that monologue for A.B.? You know darned well he didn’t author that himself.
Second, that “storm” that’s coming? Does it involve cold weather? That wouldn’t be good for his frost-bitten feet.
Yeah. He said it.
Jarvis Landry was asked about how ready the 2-4 Browns are to go to Foxborough and play the 6-0 Patriots.
“We’re going to win,” Landry said. “We’re going to win, I think it’s just that simple. We’re getting guys back healthy again. We’re going to win.”
Yup. He said that. Here it is. He said it.

Yet, when Landry realized what he said could’ve been interpreted as a guarantee, he tried to walk back some of that trademark wide receiver confidence.
#Browns Jarvis Landry clarified his comments about “we’re going to win.” He just said he meant “we’re going (there) to win”

Wise move, Jarvis. As I recall, guarantees against unbeaten Patriots teams usually don’t go well.
Leonard leaving?
Jets defensive lineman Leonard Williams is said to be on the trade block.
The NFL deadline is Tuesday. And some have said that the Steelers should be interested.
Seeing as how general manager Kevin Colbert already has shipped away picks in the first, third and fifth rounds, I’m not sure what is left to offer unless he plans to take the whole draft as vacation days.
But Williams could make sense if the Steelers decide their depth options to replace Stephon Tuitt aren’t good enough.
Don’t count on that, though. SNY says other teams are lining up for Williams anyway.
The outlet says the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs could make for logical partners.
'Trump Ump' apologizes
Rob Drake of Indiana, Pa., has apologized for his controversial tweet.
The MLB umpire made headlines recently for tweeting that he would buy an AR-15 rifle “because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020.”
Drake deleted the tweet quickly and apologized Thursday.
“I want to personally apologize to everyone that my words made feel less safe,” Drake said. “I especially want to apologize to every person who has been affected by gun violence in our country. I also acknowledge and apologize for the controversy this has brought to Major League Baseball, my fellow umpires and my family. I never intended to diminish the threat of violence from assault weapons, or violence of any kind.”
When I pointed out this story Thursday, I got this tweet in response.
So are you going to call out the Clinton Cartel umps? The corrupt OhBamma umps??? Jus axin

Uh, “Comey,” if you tell me who those liberal umpires are and alert me when they threaten gun violence and a military uprising on Twitter … yes.
Yes, I will.
I’ll be here waiting patiently.
As for the NBA
You see, Pittsburgh, the NBA is a league where they pay people to play basketb …
Never mind.
For those of you who do pay attention, the Clippers ruined the home opener for Golden State in the Warriors’ new Chase Center.
The Clippers beat the Warriors 141-122 to spoil Golden State's debut at the Chase Center.
It's the most points the Warriors have allowed under Steve Kerr (regular season & playoffs) and the most points any team has ever allowed in its 1st game at a new arena (h/t @EliasSports).

That’s a pretty good early statement for the team that may be the big dog in the Western Conference, wouldn’t you say?
