In “First Call” Wednesday, Odell Beckham Jr. is going to keep his watch. Marcus Gilbert is out for the year. “Duck Dynasty” is back in Pittsburgh. And Jennifer Lopez may be up for the Super Bowl halftime show.
Odell Beckham Jr. claims he is going to keep wearing the watch that got him in trouble with the NFL Sunday.
There is no rule on the NFL books outlawing jewelry. But there is one banning hard accessories.
According to ESPN.com, the Cleveland Browns wide receiver seemed off-put by the suggestion he should take off the watch during games.
“I’ll still be wearing it,” Beckham said Tuesday. “The same way I wear it every day I go to practice, when I go here, I go there, been wearing it. Take a shower with it on. It’s just on me.”
Beckham insists the watch is plastic and not a safety threat.
Don’t expect Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks to be removed from their lineup before Sunday.
Via, ProFootballTalk.com, his sentencing has been delayed. More than a year ago, he was found guilty of insider trading, but his sentencing has been pushed back for nine months. Now, he won’t learn his fate until November 21.
That likely means Kendricks will be able to play the entire season.
A maximum term for the charges Kendricks faces is 25 years. However, he is expected to face a much shorter term because he cooperated with prosecutors.
Rumors are heating up that Jennifer Lopez is going to be the Super Bowl halftime act.
The “Hustlers” star said back in July that she would be up for performing on the big stage. A source told Entertainment Tonight that “she is at the top of the NFL’s list.”
“Jennifer and the NFL have been in talks for a while, but there are many factors that go into the deal before it’s official,” the source said to ET Online. “Jennifer has been saying for a while she wants to perform at the halftime show and it looks like her dream may come true.”

And if you are thinking I’m posting this story just so I have an excuse to post a picture of JLo, you wouldn’t be wrong.
She’s 50, folks. Fifty!
Former Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck Dynasty” Hodges is back.
After being cut at the end of the preseason, it appeared Hodges was just going to be a good training camp story. But the Steelers traded Josh Dobbs to Jacksonville Monday, so Hodges was reacquired.
And he seems to be fully embracing the “Duck” nickname.

Hodges will back up Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.
Former Steeler Marcus Gilbert has been lost for the season in Arizona.
The offensive tackle suffered an apparent ACL injury.
The #AZCardinals placed OT Marcus Gilbert on Injured Reserve because of a torn ACL, source said. The veteran’s season is over, which explains the signing of a tackle today.

The Steelers traded Gilbert to Arizona in exchange for a sixth-round draft choice.
Gilbert sat out the opener after getting injured in practice. Now he is done for the year. Since 2012, Gilbert had frequently been sidelined with ankle, knee, and hamstring injuries.
In addition to Gilbert, rookie offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard missed the season opener with a knee injury.
