They beat Dallas yesterday 24-22. And former Steeler Le’Veon Bell celebrated his first win in New York with a little jab at his coach Adam Gase.

The now 0-6 Dolphins fell at home to the now 1-5 Redskins in a game destined for the bottom of the highlight reels.

Don’t look for things to get much better next week. The Dolphins have to go to Buffalo to face the 4-1 Bills, and then visit Heinz Field for a date with the Steelers.

That’s a new tactic

A West Virginia high school football player made ESPN’s SportsCenter and NBC’s Sunday Night Football for this highlight.

His name is Kagen Teets. And he attends Musselman High School.

The defender is from Hedgesville High School. He will go unnamed. Not only because I don’t know the kid’s name. Because I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want it associated with this highlight.

Divine intervention

In Romans 8:31, a passage reads, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

That’s what the New Orleans Saints must have been thinking Sunday as they headed into their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars when they saw Pope Francis’ Twitter account.

Five new saints were canonized Sunday morning. So when the Pope tweeted about it, his account included the hashtag #Saints.

That defaults to the New Orleans Saints team logo on Twitter. So, as you can imagine, Saints fans appreciated the holy endorsement from the pontiff.
