It doesn’t appear that the Browns took Sunday’s loss to the Steelers very well. Odell Beckham Jr. had a hissy fit on the sideline toward the end of the game.

That’s how we start “First Call” Monday. We also look at how deep the Tennessee Titans are offensively as the Steelers prepare to go to Nashville next week.

Plus, hockey media and Penguins fans aren’t thrilled about general manager Jim Rutherford’s latest signing. The Jets aren’t coping well in the wake of the Le’Veon Bell release. And the Travis Fulgham story continues to impress in Philadelphia.

Odell Zavackas Jr.

Remember when Pitt basketball player Donatas Zavackas took off his shoes in frustration during Pitt’s Sweet 16 loss to Marquette in 2003?

Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. did the same thing during his team’s 38-7 blowout loss at Heinz Field.

He was seen in socks and eventually sneakers on the Cleveland bench.

That’s after apparently yapping at Steelers fans, punching a water cooler, throwing his receiving gloves and allegedly taking off his shoulder pads early. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski called it “normal frustration.”

Yeah. Normal. If you are OBJ.

Oh, Henry!

For as great as Derrick Henry was Sunday — and he was great — the Steelers are going to have to deal with more than just him next Sunday in Nashville.

The Titans and Steelers are slated to play their rescheduled game this week, after it was postponed from Week 4.

Both teams are 5-0. And the Titans got to that mark by virtue of a 42-36 win over the Houston Texans in overtime.

Yes, Henry was the star. The running back had 264 yards from scrimmage, including the game-winning touchdown.

But other Titans flashed including Ryan Tannehill. The quarterback was 30-for-41 for 364 yards and four touchdown passes. Two of those scoring throws went to A.J. Brown. And tight end Anthony Firkser had 113 yards receiving plus a score.

The Titans have averaged 37 points their last four games.

Travis Fulgham, or as the Steelers simply called him, “No. 13,” apparently isn’t a fluke.

After 10 catches for 152 yards and a touchdown last week, the unheralded Philadelphia Eagles receiver continued his “out of nowhere” story against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday. He caught six more balls for 75 yards and a touchdown against Baltimore.

He also drew a crucial pass interference penalty late in the game.

The former walk-on at Old Dominion now has a touchdown in each of the three games he has played for Philly.

Baltimore managed to hold off a late rally by the Eagles, though, to chalk up a 30-28 victory. They improve to 5-1 and will enjoy a bye week next Sunday before hosting the Steelers on Nov. 1.

Life after Le’V

The New York Jets fans are now in the post-Le’Veon Bell era.

And the offense looks even worse than it did before. They were shutout 24-0 by the Miami Dolphins, totaling just 269 yards along the way. New York was 2-17 on third down conversion attempts.

Meanwhile, it appears that Bell will be wearing his familiar No. 26 jersey in Kansas City. There had been some belief he may put on a new number because Damien Williams usually wears that number for K.C. But he opted out of 2020 for covid-19-related concerns.

However, the Chiefs roster indicates it’ll be 26 for Bell.

Unkind to Cody

The Penguins signed former Ottawa and Toronto defenseman Cody Ceci on Friday.

Last year, Ceci had one goal and seven assists in 56 games. He is a right-handed shot and may be paired with Mike Matheson, instead of the departed Jack Johnson.

Unfortunately, Johnson seems to be the player most Penguins fans thought of first when they heard the news of the signing.

Let’s just call it calculated skepticism.

I happen to think Ceci is a little bit better than that.

Slightly.

But maybe Matheson’s new defensive partner will help him in multiple ways. He can be the guy that gets blamed for everything instead of Matheson himself. Because I felt like things were trending in that direction from the moment he was acquired for Patric Hornqvist.
