And it was an eventful weekend for the Penn State and Robert Morris hockey teams.
Let’s see about Shaheed
If the Steelers are looking to add a wide receiver, New Orleans pass catcher Rashid Shaheed has been a rumored candidate.
On Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the asking price to acquire him is likely going to be a third-round pick.

Mitch Love fired in Washington
One-time Penguins coaching candidate Mitch Love has been relieved of his duties in Washington.
The Capitals’ assistant coach was fired in the wake of an investigation into his personal conduct. The organization made that announcement Sunday.
Mitch Love has been relieved of his duties as an assistant coach, effective immediately. This decision follows the findings of an NHL-led investigation into past allegations. The organization is committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct and accountability.

A league source tells ESPN that “the NHL received a letter detailing allegations about Love’s personal conduct while he was interviewing (for a head coaching position) with teams. Two of the teams that Love reportedly interviewed with were sent a similar letter. Those allegations are said to have predated his tenure with the Capitals.”
It’s not clear if the Penguins were one of those teams that received a letter. But Love was known to have interviewed in Pittsburgh and Boston. Dan Muse and Marco Sturm ended up getting those jobs.
Love issued his own statement to the Washington Post.
In a statement provided to the Washington Post, Mitch Love says that he denies the allegations that led to his firing by the Capitals and the NHL suspending him for the 2025-26 season.
