First call: Tom Brday's F-bomb, Michael Thomas' butt give NFL some 'oops' moments

In Monday's "First Call," Tom Brady drops an F-Bomb on TV. A player gets his pants pulled down during a tackle and Fox ditched the feed. A tennis player has a meltdown.

Hit the dump button!

It's not often that these two quarterbacks are confused with one another. But Tom Brady channeled his inner Tyler Palko during his post game interview on CBS after the AFC title game win against the Chiefs.

Turn the speakers at work down, or make sure you have your earphones in when playing that link.

Yeah, but Tom, that's not like beating Notre Dame or anything, right? (Yeah, there's some bad language in that clip, too).

And cut away fast, too!

While audio was an issue after the AFC game on CBS, it was a quick visual concern on FOX during the NFC title game that had people laughing.

A tackle of Saints' receiver Michael Thomas had the audience laughing as his backside got exposed in the process.

Credit the directors on that one. They must have better eyes than the officials in that game did.

Gurley gets honest

A major subplot from the NFC title game is that Todd Gurley barely played.

The Rams' star running back rushed for 10 yards on four carries and caught just one pass for 3 yards in the Rams' 26-23 victory. He scored a touchdown on one of those carries. But five touches and 13 total yards were career lows. His 32 snaps were the fewest in a game since his rookie year.

After the game, Gurley insisted he wasn't hurt and that he just played poorly.

"I was sorry as hell today," Gurley said after the game. "I was sorry. So, C.J. (Anderson) did his thing and the whole team did its thing."

Head coach Sean McVay also gave a politically correct explanation.

"That was just kind of the feel for the flow of the game that we had," McVay said. "Not anything against Todd. C.J. did a nice job, but I thought that they did a nice job as a whole, slowing down our run game, and we kind of just had to grind some things out."

Anderson's share of the carries versus Gurley's will be a major story heading into the Super Bowl.

What did that racket do to you?

Tennis player Alex Zverev had a long day at the Australian Open.

Actually, it was a short day. He got knocked out in straight sets by Milos Raonic.

If you are counting at home, that was eight whacks of the racket. He got warned for racket abuse by the chair umpire.

Zverev is still looking for his first ever Grand Slam title. That will be hard to do with a mangled racket.

Standing O!

Former Washington Capitals coach Barry Trotz got a standing ovation back in Washington.

He returned to Capital One Arena for the first time as coach of the Islanders.

This after he left the Caps as a Stanley Cup winning coach from last year. The Caps made a welcome home video for him.

"I was looking up there. I was trying not to look too much because I was getting pretty close to that sensitive side of myself," Trotz said. "But it was extremely well done and it was just great memories and everybody was a part of something special.''

The site claims Trotz turned to the Islanders bench and said, "That's us this year boys!"

Eh, probably not.
