Forbes Magazine has ranked Penguins fans at No. 1 in the NHL based on ratings released Friday.

This was the third time since Forbes began compiling fan ratings in 2009 that the Penguins have been at the top of the list.

The magazine claims it “ranks fans objectively based on quantitative fan consumption metrics” which include local television ratings, attendance in relation to capacity, secondary ticket demand, merchandise sales and social media metrics. Additionally, this season the magazine included a percentage of each teams’ metropolitan area that watched attended or listened to a game over the past year.

The Boston Bruins were ranked second on the list.
