A former Philadelphia Phillies star recently sold his boat to the guitarist for an iconic grunge band.
Jimmy Rollins, the National League MVP in 2007, won a Mastercraft X24 speedboat by draining a hole-in-one in July at the American Century Championship in Nevada.
But Rollins, who lives in California, didn’t have much use for the boat, which is valued at $325,000.
Mastercraft, the boat’s manufacturer, found out Rollins was selling the boat, and connected them with Pearl Jam’s singer Eddie Vedder, who was helping guitarist Mike McCready find a boat.
“I sold it to him with no hours and no water on it,” Rollins told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “But I’m sure that has changed already.”

Rollins last played in the majors in 2016 and now serves as an analyst for TBS.
“They told me and I was like, ‘That’s a pretty damn cool story,’” Rollins said.
