Defenseman Kevin Czuczman was a member of the Penguins organization for four seasons.

Former Penguins defenseman Kevin Czuczman has signed a one-year contract for the 2023-24 season with HC Litvinov of the Extraliga ledniho hokeje in Czechia.

That team announced the transaction Thursday via release.

A native of London, Ont., the 32-year-old Czuczman spent parts of four seasons with the Penguins and was primarily assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, their American Hockey League affiliate, serving as an alternate captain for that team. In total, he appeared in two NHL games for the franchise, each during the 2020-21 season, and recorded no points.

The left-hander also played in 13 games and recorded two assists for the New York Islanders during the 2013-14 campaign.

Czuczman spent the 2022-23 season with Ilves of Finland’s Liiga, appearing in 31 games and scoring six points (two goals, four assists).
