Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jesse Puljujarvi signed a two-year contract with Geneve-Servette HC of Switzerland’s National League.
That team announced the transaction Tuesday.
Puljujarvi, 27, spent parts of the past two seasons with the Penguins.
After going unsigned through the 2023 offseason as he recovered from surgery to both hips, Puljujarvi linked up with the Penguins in January of 2024, signing a professional tryout contract with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
By February of 2024, the right-handed Puljujarvi signed a two-year contract with the NHL Penguins.
Primarily deployed as a bottom-six forward with the Penguins, Puljujarvi played in 48 games and scored 13 points (six goals, seven assists) while averaging 10:30 of ice time per contest during his tenure with the club.
This past season, Puljujarvi (6-foot-4, 216 pounds) and the Penguins agreed to a mutual contract termination Feb. 9, allowing him to sign a PTO with Charlotte of the AHL one day later.
By March 5, Puljujarvi signed a one-year, two-way contract for the remainder of the season with the Florida Panthers. He wound up playing in five games for the Panthers and scored one goal while averaging 12:44 of ice time per contest.
After finishing the 2024-25 season with Charlotte and helping that club reach the Calder Cup final, Puljujarvi signed in Sweden.
The fourth-overall selection of the 2016 NHL Draft, Puljujarvi has also played for the Edmonton Oilers and Carolina Hurricanes.
