Forward Scott Wilson was a member of the Penguins for parts of four seasons.

Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Scott Wilson has signed a two-year contract with HC Sibir Novosibirsk, a team based in Siberia that competes in Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

That transaction was announced on Tuesday.

A native of Oakville, Ontario, the 33-year-old Wilson has spent the past three seasons in the KHL. During the 2024-25 campaign, Wilson suited up for Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Salavat Yulaev Ufa. In total, he skated in 60 games and scored 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists).

Wilson, a left-handed shot, was a seventh-round draft pick (No. 209 overall) of the Penguins in 2011 and spent parts of four seasons with the team, including the 2016-17 campaign when he helped win a Stanley Cup championship. Over 106 games with the Penguins, Wilson scored 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists).

In addition to the Penguins, Wilson has played for the Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres.
