Over parts of four seasons with the Penguins, forward Scott Wilson appeared in 106 games and scored 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists).

Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Scott Wilson has signed a one-year contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk in Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

That team announced the transaction on Tuesday.

A native of Oakville, Ont., the 32-year-old Wilson spent parts of four seasons with the Penguins and was a member of the franchise’s 2017 Stanley Cup championship team.

Selected in the seventh round (No. 209 overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Wilson played in 106 games for the Penguins and scored 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists).

In addition to the Penguins, Wilson played for the Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings during his NHL career.

Wilson has spent the past two seasons playing for HC Vityaz, also of the KHL. During the 2023-24 season, Wilson was that team’s third-leading scorer with 30 points (20 goals, 10 assists) in 38 games.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
