Former Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Dustin Tokarski has signed with Löwen Frankfurt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), the top league in Germany.

The contract is for the remainder of the season.

That team announced the transaction via a release on Friday.

A native of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Tokarski was a member of the Penguins during the 2022-23 season. Largely serving as the organization’s third goaltender, he appeared in four games that season and posted a 1-2-0 record along with a 3.44 goals-against average and an .897 save percentage.

In addition to the Penguins, the 36-year-old Tokarski has played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes over portions of 10 NHL seasons. He last played in the NHL during the 2024-25 campaign, appearing in six games for the Hurricanes.
