Former Penn State coach James Franklin to appear on ESPN's 'College GameDay'
The bombshell story of the college football season thus far dropped last weekend, with the Penn State Nittany Lions officially firing coach James Franklin after a 3-3 start, which featured three straight losses in the Big Ten.
In the days since, athletic director and players have spoken, and just about everyone in the sports media world has had an opportunity to say their piece on the matter, whether or not they agree with the move. Now, it’s Franklin’s time to talk.
And the world will hear him on the biggest stage you can ask for in college football.
It was announced this week that Franklin will be speaking publicly Saturday morning for the first time since his firing. He will join the crew at ESPN’s College GameDay in Athens, Ga., for the matchup between the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels and No. 9 Bulldogs.
Franklin has not been shy about speaking his mind in the media before, so this should be a must-see television experience for all who are interested in the storyline. He went 104-45 during his 12 years with the Nittany Lions and helping to establish them as one of the top teams in the Big Ten year in and year out.
