Former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula has found his new school.
Pribula, Penn State’s backup quarterback who entered the transfer portal ahead of the College Football Playoff, has committed to Missouri, according to a report from on3.
Pribula also took visits to Iowa, UCF and Ole Miss and called off a scheduled visit to Indiana.
Missouri will be replacing starter Brady Cook, making the destination attractive for Pribula. Interestingly, the Tigers will have Matt Zollers, a 2025 signee, Royersford native and Penn State recruiting target, in the mix.

Pribula announced last week that he was entering the transfer portal and would not be with Penn State during its CFP run. His announcement came shortly before the news that Penn State starter Drew Allar is expected to return for the 2025 season.
The former Central York star was a change-of-pace option for Penn State and play-caller Andy Kotelnicki. Pribula rushed for 242 yards and five touchdowns and helped the Nittany Lions put opponents on their heels. He logged 187 offensive snaps this season.
Pribula also provided experienced cover for Allar. He entered in relief of an injured Allar on two occasions: last year against Rutgers and this season at Wisconsin. Pribula won both games.
James Franklin spoke at length after Pribula made what he called an “impossible decision” to leave Penn State before the CFP. The transfer portal being open while the season is ongoing presented difficulties for the former Penn State backup.
“I can give you my word, Beau Pribula did not want to leave our program until the end of the season,” Franklin said. “But the way the portal is, the timing of it, the way our team is playing, and when you play the position of quarterback and there’s only one spot and those spots are filling up, he felt like he was put in a no-win situation, and I agree with him.
“… Beau Pribula is a wonderful young man. And I would recruit him every year. Knowing everything I know right now, I would recruit the heck out of Beau. Beau grew up wanting to come to Penn State his whole life. This is his dream school. And he had a phenomenal career here. And I just want everyone to understand that most importantly.”
Penn State beat SMU, 38-10, in Saturday’s CFP first round. Without Pribula, true freshman Ethan Grunkemeyer entered the game when Allar exited to avoid unnecessary injury.
Allar and the Nittany Lions face Boise State in the CFP quarterfinals. Penn State and Boise State will play on New Year’s Eve, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. at the Fiesta Bowl.
