Seton Hill product Perry DellaValle is pitching well for the St. Louis Cardinals’ Gulf Coast League team.

Former Seton Hill standout pitcher, Perry DellaValle, who was drafted last year by the St. Louis Cardinals, was selected to play in the Florida State League All-Star Game set for June 15 in Jupiter, Fla.

DellaValle, 23, plays for the Advanced-Class A Palm Beach Cardinals. He is 2-3 with a 2.29 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 63 innings in 12 starts this season.

The right-hander spent last season in the Gulf Coast League and went 0-2 with a 1.97 ERA, 67 Ks and just seven walks in 45.2 innings.

DellaValle, from North Royalton, Ohio, struck out a school-record 109 batters (and walked 20) in his senior season at Seton Hill and earned All-American honors. His 2.43 career ERA also is a program best.

?Hey now, you're an All-Star, get your game on, go, play!?
