This week has been a real thrill for the “Trill.”

Kenny Wells, a former Seton Hill relief pitcher with the social media name, “Kenny Trill,” signed this week with the Danville Braves, the Advanced-Rookie level affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

He made his minor league debut on the Fourth of July and worked a scoreless inning of relief in a 14-8 loss at the Princeton Rays.

What a week for @Kenny_Wells33. Pitched against Team USA, a day later flew to Atlanta & back to NC, next day inked a deal w/ the Braves & closed out a game that night in his first pro appearance.Congratulations Kenny! Wells, from Lodi, Ohio, went 2-3 in 19 appearances with five saves in his final season at Seton Hill. He struck out 42 and walked 18 in 26.2 innings.

What most will remember about Wells during his time in Greensburg was how he came back from a near-death experience while pitching in practice a couple of years ago.

A big congrats to our guy Kenny Wells (@SHGriffBaseball) for signing with the Braves this week! #MarlinMade #ChopOn pic.twitter.com/BhyfhsQPAx
