So many times, Jess Kovatch clearly was the best player on the court when she played at St. Francis (Pa.).
The standout guard fired in 3-pointers with no ceiling on her range, and slashed the lane for tough baskets to the tune of 2,874 points – the scoring record for any male or female who ever played in the Northeast Conference.
Now, the former college star is taking her talents to the pros.
Kovatch signed a professional contract to play for the TV Saarlouis Royals team in Germany.
The Royals play in the Damen Basketball Bundesliga League and won three national cups from 2008-10.
Kovatch, who averaged 21.7 points per game last season, also is the NEC career leader in 3-pointers made, with 472.
