Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark, who’s been a voice on ESPN since 2015, is going to be on the network a little longer.
ESPN announced Wednesday that Clark signed a multi-year extension with the network (how many years exactly weren’t mentioned.)
Clark will be a year-round presence as a studio analyst on multiple shows and platforms, and will cover NFL events including the Super Bowl, draft, free agency and training camp, according to the network.
“I’m excited to continue my career at ESPN. This was my home even before I retired. Some of my colleagues are more family than co-workers.“ Clark said in a statement. “It’s a blessing to get more opportunities to sit with people I love and talk about the sports I love. Can’t wait until we can finally have a family reunion.”

Clark played in the NFL for 13 years, retiring in 2014 before jumping full-time into broadcasting. He played with the Steelers from 2006-2013 including when they won Super Bowl XLIII over the Arizona Cardinals. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2011.
Before the start of the 2020 NFL season, Clark posted a video on the state of Black America.
He followed up the ESPN contract announcement saying if he’s going to be on TV he’s going to have to start running and fix his wi-fi connection.
So, I have decided a couple things have to happen since I’m gonna be at ESPN for a while….
1. I better start running because at some point these new suits have to fit.
