Cross off another name from the Pitt basketball roster.

Reserve forward Dan Oladapo, who played only one season at Pitt and didn’t get into a game past Feb. 5, has entered the NCAA transfer portal. He joins Noah Collier, Chris Payton and Onyebuchi Ezeakudo as players who hope to build a future elsewhere.

Meanwhile, coach Jeff Capel has five scholarships available in his quest to rebuild a program that hasn’t enjoyed a winning season since 2015-16.

Oladapo started four games early in the season — two victories, two defeats. But after January, he played in only one game (one minute against Virginia Tech) and ended the season averaging 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15 games.

Oladapo shot 80% from the field (20 of 25) and 56.4% from the free throw line (10 of 18). He totaled 50 points and 29 rebounds.

This will be Oladapo’s second venture into the transfer portal after joining Pitt last year from Oakland (Mich.) University. In three seasons at Oakland, he scored 740 points, with 499 rebounds. He averaged 12.9 and 8.8 in his final season at Oakland (2020-21).

He has one season of eligibility remaining.
