Two years after Geneva College introduced a women’s golf program, the school in Beaver Falls announced it will add men’s golf as a varsity sport in the fall of 2021.

The addition will bring Geneva’s number of varsity sports to 19.

Andrew Fee, who coaches the women’s golf team, also will take over the men’s program, putting a tee in the ground and rounding up his first class of players to eventually compete in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

“It’s motivating for both programs as this will create more stability for our golf program as a whole,” Fee said. “We will begin recruiting immediately for men’s golf and continue our efforts over the next 19 months until we start in August, 2021.”

Geneva will practice and play at Connoquenessing Country Club, which also serves as the home course for the women’s team.

Former WPIAL players on the women’s team include senior Chelsea Curry (Derry) and freshman Calli Grimplin (South Side Beaver).
