Shown in a 2024 photo, Pittsburgh Steelers starting left guard Isaac Seumalo came off the non-football injury list Thursday and participated in training-camp practice at Saint Vincent College.

Isaac Seumalo was removed from the non-football injury list, clearing the veteran starting left guard to practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.

Seumalo opened up training camp on NFI because of an undisclosed injury identified by coach Mike Tomlin as a “soft tissue” ailment. Entering his 10th season and third with the Steelers, Seumalo has more NFL starts and experience than the other four starting offensive linemen combined.

Seumalo was on the field regularly during practices over the first week of camp at Saint Vincent College, often seen offering instruction to younger linemen.

The move means the Steelers do not have any players on any of the various injured lists other than veteran tight end Donald Parham, who was signed this spring but suffered a season-ending injury during organized team activities.

Seumalo, 31, is entering the final year of his contract. He has dealt with myriad injuries over his pro career but has appeared in 52 of 56 games (including playoffs) the past three seasons — that includes 2022, when he played in the Super Bowl during the final of his seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
