Hempfield grad Bridget Guy becomes 3-time All-American
Virginia redshirt senior and 2016 Hempfield grad Bridget Guy claimed her third NCAA All-American honor on Thursday at the NCAA track and field championships in Austin, Texas.

Guy finished fourth in the women’s pole vault by clearing a season-best 14 feet, 7 1/4 inches. She missed at 14-9 1/2.
The two-time ACC champion has soared to new heights at Virginia, setting new school standards. Her best jump is 14-7 1/2.

Guy earned first-team All-America honors. The honor is the third for Guy, who tied for fourth at the 2018 outdoor championships and finished fifth at the 2019 indoor championships.

She was a PIAA Class AAA champion her senior season.
